Buffy the Vampire Slayer Review

Okay so Buffy the Vampire Slayer is one of my all time favourite shows, so I'm gonna review all seven seasons of it. I watch Angel and have nearly finished the first season of it.

Season 1-1997
Okay so it only had 12 episodes and not much of a storyline except the Master, but all in all I thought that most of the episodes were great, except ones like I Robot, You Jane. For me that was the only bad episode of the season and most of the rest were really good, if not brilliant. I loved Willow as the shy computer nerd with a crush on Xander, and even though some of the clothes they wore were bad back then, the season certainly wasn't as bad as some people think.

Season 2-1997-1998
My absolute favourite season. Great storyline, great funny new characters, and even better episodes. Buffy and Angel's love begins to deepen and she learns more about his past throughout the season, something that wasn't really done in Season 1. New villains include vampires Spike and Drusilla, Spike being funny whilst Drusilla being crazy-literally. Wonderful episodes include the season finale Becoming (which is in two parts), another two parter What's My Line?, the season opener When She Was Bad, and other fabulous episodes which include Lie To Me, Ted, Surprise, Innocence and many, many more. Season 3-1998-1999
Another great season, mainly due to new Slayer Faith and a bundle of entertaining and brilliant episodes. Faith is the complete opposite to Buffy, a rebel, different clothes and a different attitude. Great episodes include the season opener Anne, Band Candy, Graduation, Lovers Walk, Homecoming and lots more. Also watch out for Anya who appears in a few episodes towards the end. She's a very cool and interesting character when the series goes along.

Season 4-1999-2000
A lot of Buffy fans out there say that this season is a downer because of the storyline, but it still has some very cool episodes such as Hush, Living Conditions, The Freshman, Restless, Fear Itself and lots more. Buffy moves to college and finds a new boyfriend in military guy Riley Finn, and something changes Spike. Also look out for Willow's friendship with fellow witch Tara Maclay.

Season 5-2000-2001
Another one of my favourite seasons thanks to an abosolutely brilliant storyline featuring a hell god and Buffy's new kid sister (watch out for that). The tale of her new sis Dawn (played by Michelle Trachtenberg) is a very cool one that unwinds as this series go on. Spike falls in love with Buffy and Drusilla comes back for one episode. Episodes that are my faves include Buffy vs Dracula, Real Me, Spiral, The Gift, Fool For Love and Crush.

Season 6-2001-2002
A lot of Buffy fans have said like Season 4 that this isn't that good, but I disagree. It has some bad points in it but the great quality of most of the episodes make up for that. All the cast star in a Buffy musical episode (Once More With Feeling), and in Tabula Rasa everyone loses their memories thanks to a certain someone. Also watch out for three nerds who try and destroy Buffy, whilst being obsessed with Star Trek and making devices. A great finale that is a must-see and a big character change for a main star. A must see season in my eyes.

Season 7-2002-2003
I've only seen this season once and I must admit that while it has some good episodes in it, I found myself to be a bit bored. But still it is worth it to give it a watch and find out what happens to the Scoobies in the end.

All in all I highly recommend Buffy to anyone who hasn't seen it before, like any Buffy fan like me would agree!
